Politicians, look, I know everyone has urges, and no matter what you look like, you’re powerful and appealing, but if you want to be elected to, oh I don’t know, say, President of the United States, don’t you think you should find a magazine and a private room, because your face is known internationally, and you’re not invisible…news flash…we can all see you!!!
It’s like when people have their finger in their nose up to the third knuckle while they’re driving and think they’re invisible. People, that’s just clear glass between you and your fellow commuter, and just because you’re surrounded by your car doesn’t mean we can’t see you!
The news about John Edwards really upset me. I really like this guy…really like him. But sometimes even those public figures who you think are pillars of respectability and are devoted to their spouses, succumb to temptation.
Personally, I don’t give a hoot what the heck anyone does behind closed doors (well, not child, animal, or spousal abuse), and I have no business being involved in your personal life, because it’s just that…personal. However, as a politician or political hopeful, you are asking to represent ME when you run for office, and once you throw your hat into the ring, you have to live up to higher standards. Not fair? Probably not, but that’s the way it is, and since everyone has a cell phone with a camera, you’d better watch your step, because trust me…someone is watching you somewhere…and it WILL come out sooner or later.
I don’t care what you did when you were in college…I don’t care if you inhaled…just tell the truth. And while you’re at it, please know that I am capable of figuring out why I shouldn’t vote for the other guy, so just let me know why I should vote for you.
